Our After Hours Animal Emergency Clinic staff has years of emergency experience, regularly taking referrals from 30 plus regional hospitals. A doctor and staff are always present in the hospital. Emergency care is also offered during regular business hours. |

SURGERY | We offer advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: a fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, quality procedure for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort and safety; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after-surgery 24 hour care; pain control; full blood testing and in-house blood bank. |
IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE | We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood and urine tests for all life stages. |
DENTAL CARE | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Extractions and oral surgery are regularly performed as needed. Anesthetic nerve blocks, injectable and/or oral pain medication are used when appropriate for your pet's comfort. |
IN-HOUSE LABORATORY | Our in-hospital lab can quickly provide valuable clinical information including automated blood counts, blood chemistries, electrolytes, blood typing, blood gases, coagulation profiles, urinalysis, Parvo, FIV and FeLV tests. |
FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY | We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. Please call a day ahead of time for prescription refills. |
RADIOLOGY | Radiology (X-rays) – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. |
ULTRASOUND | This state-of-the-art imaging technology uses sound waves to diagnose splenic, liver, kidney, heart, bladder and reproductive conditions. Patients need to be shaved for the procedures. Most patients do not need anesthesia unless an ultrasound-guided aspirate or biopsy is recommended. |
ENDOSCOPY Endoscopy is a procedure where a long tube with a camera at the end is inserted into the gastrointestinal or respiratory tract.
The procedure is used to treat or diagnose several conditions including retrieval of foreign bodies from the esophagus, stomach or airway and biopsies in the upper or lower gastrointestinal tract to diagnose gastric ulcers, colitis, cancer or inflammatory bowel disease.
Patients admitted for an endoscopy are placed under anesthesia, but can usually go home the same day as the procedure, depending on the severity of the disease. |
BLOOD AND PLASMA TRANSFUSIONS | We maintain blood supplies for dogs and cats in case of emergency. The blood is provided by a regional supplier or by in-hospital donors. All blood is carefully screened for disease. |
PAIN MANAGEMENT | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
RABBITS, RODENTS & REPTILES | Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics. |
BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE | Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Experiencied veterinarians can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client. |
MICROCHIPPING | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a successful recovery. Microchipping is a safe and relatively painless procedure that takes seconds to perform. |
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
We stock a large supply of presciption diets to meet your pet's specific health care needs. Food is available for purchase during regular business hours. |
HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. Private and non-private cremation is available upon request. |
BOARDING | Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and provide them with plenty of attention. Our highly qualified staff keeps a close eye on your pet when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care, and regular trips outside to grass for dogs to take care of business. Hospital boarding space is limited. We try to accommodate as many clients as possible but especially those with pets with medical needs that require regular observation or special care that only a 24 hour hospital can provide. |
BATHING | Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that help stop the itching. Services also include nail trimming and ear cleaning. |
